What about jobs? Unemployment Claims in Indiana from 2019 to 2020 (as of June 24, 2020)

Thereafter, one must acknowledge the effect that COVID-19 has had on jobs. COVID-19 has had a tremendous impact on Indiana's workforce.

Indiana had a nearly 45x increase in weekly unemployement claims at the end of March 2020 compared to Feb 1, 2020. This was a 6,745% percent increase from last year. This graph showcases the tremendous economic impact of COVID-19 on the State of Indiana. There have been two major upticks in initial unemployment claims in the State if Indiana, occurring after the date of the first Indiana COVID-19 case, this corresponds to Indiana’s public health emergency declaration due to COVID-19 (same day).
